When God called us out of our suburban home into the wilderness of faith we did not expect what happened too us. Following Jesus into poverty, destitution and then homelessness was a difficult path but as we gave up all for Him He gave us much more in return. This is our family’s true story of how we weathered the painful hardships and sufferings one faces when they are sincere about following God in faith.

Wanda and I met at Bible school and have two daughters. After a short stint in the pastorate we found that our faith was as dry as a sun baked desert. God broke into our world in 1996 and started awakening a deep love for Him. As He led us we gave up our home and business and moved from Alberta to Prince Edward Island, in eastern Canada. While there God began to break us down so that we would learn to trust Him in faith. Eventually our money ran out and we began a long journey of deprivation. Eventually we were made homeless and had to move. Walking and getting rides we moved 82 times in 40 months, eventually ending up in Ontario. The journey was full of pitfalls and revelations as God taught us how to trust Him in every circumstance.
