Gwen Lariviere grew up in Alberta, but spent most of her life on Vancouver Island, Canada. It was there she discovered the beauty of the west coast, and experienced how unchecked development could ravage its natural ecosystem. She has published several short stories and written another book, Morning Town (ASIN: B014I72OTU), a controversial work involving physician assisted euthanasia. A former registered nurse who has worked writing for a large pharmaceutical company, her ideas come from true experience. She continues to write and work with essential oils in her adopted country of Costa Rica.
