Five tales from Freya’s fertile imagination to intrigue and delight you! Enter a world of mystery and enchantment …
In Echo Peak the vivid landscape holds a surprising secret. See Dracomagan from the naïve view of a child-like narrator. Expectation is built up with a surprising twist that leaves a young girl feeling strangely flat and empty.
A Mercenary’s Tale is a story of love and revenge. A selfish warrior is rescued from death by a selfless villager. Self-sacrificial love is the theme that runs through this sombre tale.
In The Rusalka Ritual, Dracomagan and her companions are searching for the mythical Dragon’s Watch Tower when they are distracted by a mysterious lady. It takes a combination of warrior skill and Parsley’s will power to spring the trap the water faeries have set for them.
In Once Upon A Darker, More Enchanted Time, dark magic threatens to erode the Queen’s reign. Finding her long time allies are dead, Dracomagan is faced with not only rescuing her friends, but combating a magi-warrior intent on dethroning her. Riposte and counter-play in both words and blade work make this fairy-tale an enchanting read.
And, in a Picnic At Knole, a morning of golf doesn’t quite turn out the way a retired banker imagines. Dracomagan and Peagreen risk life and limb picnicking on the fairway. And weaving between the two story lines are ravens and a silent, one-eyed man dressed in black… Real life reaches out and touches the magical world of mythology. If you thought golf was a safe game to play, think again…
