Mary Lynn Roddy was born in the Village of Nahma and raised in Gladstone, MI. She has also resided in Milwaukee, SanFrancisco, and Evanston, IL. She’s always liked her privacy. In her high school years, she began writing poems, sealing them in envelopes addressed to herself and hiding them in a shoe box underneath her bed. Later on, it was short stories, but she was always writing for the fun of it. She likes to give credit to the writers of Fiction Textbooks. Over some time, she’s collected 23. Of all those teaching geniuses, she gives special kudos to Donald Maas and Sol Stein.
Her debut novel, The Real Dad: A Novel of Suspense, is based on true events.
