Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
At 25 years old pushing my rusted 1987 Honda accord in morning traffic is when I learned the truth about the past, the future, and the present. I realized I was in that situation because of one thing, the person I had become. With this new found understanding I simply began to work on myself and I noticed success started to come into my life with less effort then it ever had before. Simply by living as if everything was a reflection of my being, and with total responsibility for my own life, I transformed my life on all levels from the physical, to the mental, and most importantly, the spiritual. With this new simple but profound concept, I was able to go from broke to making six figures, from homeless to buying my first home, from depressed to joyful, in a few short years.
Although I am proud of my quick successes, I am more excited about what I have learned during the process, I realized that I am a creator. I could create context for my life, and anybody can also create context for their life once they were aware of that ability. I realized that the cause of all things are generated with or without intention by human beings, and that if a human being could take full responsibility for his life he could be the cause to all the results that take place in his life, and create his life with intention.
With this new knowledge I felt compelled to share it. I know that I needed some ammo for this bold idea so I decided to dedicate my life to learning the process of creation. I Define Success as: The achievement of a future ideal. To have a idea and make that idea tangible, sensible, and physical is the process of creation. It seems that what we create is a reflection of our being and our being is controlled by one and one person only, us. The Creator loves us so much he allows us being, he gives us the freedom to be anything we want to be. This is the ultimate form of love because the possibilities of being are infinite, we can be anything, and if creation is the reflection of our being then that would mean that we also can create anything we wish to as well. I can prove this fact not only with analogies, but also scientifically, and I have dedicated my life to teaching, and motivating others to be the cause of their own lives.
Tell us about your books.
My books are under the self-help genre. Cultivating one’s self in my world view is the only noble act one can do. One of my books is entitled The Success Magnet: Cultivate the 5 values that attract success. It is a book that teaches tangible systems and ideas that will transform you into a Success Magnet. A Success Magnet is a person who becomes attractive for success so that they no longer have to chase success and waste energy. This book takes really big ideas and articulates them in a way anybody can understand them. If you read this book you will be inspired and you will be taught to master success on all levels.
How did you go about getting published?
I went with a self-publish for this reason. I wanted total control of the book because money isn’t my goal, my goal is to empower people. So I will try to give the book away free as much as I can without losing my shirt.
What is your writing process? Do you have a time, day or place you like to write?
I am structured in my writing process. I literally build a bridge from where people are to where I want them to be, then I lay out a linear arrangement with stories, strategies, and ideas to help them get there.
I like to write in the presence of other people. I find it hard to work alone. I love to be in a coffee shop, or with other writers, or in the middle of a mastermind group. I am structured in this way. I literally build a bridge from where people are to where I want them to be, then I lay out a linear arrangement with stories, strategies, and ideas to help them get there.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I love to workout and go to the gym.
Any advice for authors about book covers?
They say don’t judge a book by it’s cover but in reality people do.
Any marketing tips you’d like to share with other authors?
Simplify your writing. Most writers are trying to look like they are super articulate in their books. If you make it easy to read the message will perpetuate further. If you talk to trash truck drivers in doctors language they won’t understand you, but if you talk in trash truck drivers language both doctors and trash truck drivers can understand you.
What’s your favorite book?
War of Art by Steven Pressfield
What are you reading now?
Shobogenzo by Master Dogen
What’s your next book project?
My next book will be a book that tries to explain the unexplainable. I love the challenge of explaining things that can only be experienced. Maybe the book will be an experience rather than just words.
