It is year 1891. Lady Rose is a restless young woman and a great admirer of the romantic poets. Her new lady’s maid Norah is to be her fellow member in a secret society of ”carpe diem”.
When an equally unconventional gentleman is presented to Lady Rose, her notions of love, honour and loyalty are shifted. Life has an education in store for her.
A little gem of irony, romance and domestic intrigue.
Kate Milliner is a new author but a long-time writer. She has worked as a publishing editor, translator and marketing writer but always felt the stronger attraction of fiction and times gone by. She is the author of Lady Rose’s Education and is now working on the next novel set in the same story universe.
Kate got a flair for old English through Milton, Donne and sonnets of Shakespeare while studying for her MA in Comparative Literature, but her most lasting love is Jane Austen.
Kate has lived in England, Mexico and Madrid (the greatest city in the world), but is now happily settled in Espoo, Finland, with her husband and two smallish children.
