Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I was born in Dallas, TX and currently reside in Los Angeles, CA. I am an actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild/America Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and have been busy throughout the years involved with numerous theatrical productions, commercials, print work, independent films and industrial films. Besides writing and drama, my interests also include music, fitness, and, of course, reading and collecting books. The main thing that inspired me to start writing was reading Stephen King. Shortly after I did that I started getting my own ideas.
Tell us about your books.
My books include: The Perfect Woman, Across Time, Earth Angel, WAR – Horseman of the Apocalypse (Love Blooms Eternal), Beethoven’s Immortal, The Goatman, Transference, TITAN: From Earth’s Past A Hero Rises, IMMACULATE: The Second Coming Of The Christ and The Empath, the Warrior & the Wind Rider. My writing spans genres such as science-fiction, time travel, adventure, romance, humor, theology, paranormal and young adult/coming of age.
How did you go about getting published?
I started off with a traditional publisher and then decided to go with self-publishing because I felt that I was not really getting much attention, too many authors in the stable.
What is your writing process? Do you have a time, day or place you like to write?
My process is peace and quiet. I also like to have the radio on at a low volume.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
Besides writing I am always involved in reading something. I am also an actor and that keeps me busy. Some of my other interests are fitness, music, watching movies and shopping online.
Any advice for authors about book covers?
Go for color. Color stands out. Stay away from black, gray and neutral tones because they tend to just blend in with everything and a person’s eye just glazes over it.
Any marketing tips you’d like to share with other authors?
I am still discovering that myself. Shop around online and see where you can present your work to the widest possible audience.
What’s your favorite book?
Hard question and this could change on a daily basis. Probably something from Stephen King.
What are you reading now?
Revival by Stephen King.
What’s your next book project?
Ever since I was a kid and saw the movie Excalibur I have been fascinated by the Arthurian Legends, especially the prophecy of the Once and Future King. My next project is a young adult action/adventure book where Arthur returns in modern times in the body of a teenage boy. All the classic characters are present and there is also a good deal of humor.
