Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I write Australian Historical Romances, each filled with passion, deceit and murder. I enjoy creating happy endings, something so few of us get to find in real life.
I try to encompass much of my own families history into my books, as well as setting most of them in my home town in North Queensland, Australia.
I am happily married to my childhood sweetheart and soulmate and living in North Queensland.
Tell us about your books.
I write steamy historical romances set in 19th century Queensland, Australia. Each book has a twist of mystery and/or corruption, and where possible, I try to tie in some of out local aboriginal history.
How did you go about getting published?
I chose traditional publishing as I didn’t believe I was able to edit my own work to the extent that is needed for publication. I have had several publishers over the years but was lucky to be picked up a little while ago by Beachwalk Press, and I have been with them since.
What is your writing process? Do you have a time, day or place you like to write?
I have 5 of our children still at home and at school, as well as a shift working husband, so I tend to write just when and where I can.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I love gardening and cooking with my husband.
