A Word About This Book…
I wrote this book through the voice of God. Not that God came down and wrote it for me, but I wrote what I felt He wants to say to you. I used my own life as the catalyst to repeat the very basic principles I know He wants us to follow and understand. If you are like me sometimes you need to be told more than once about His principles. The profound simplicity of being a good Christian is often overlooked by our harried and rushed lives. We let other things take top priority in our minds and we’re so busy we barely give God a nod at times. Each devotion serves to be a gentle reminder of what God expects of us. Spend the first few moments of the day with God and allow Him to direct your path.

My name is Lori. First I am the daughter of the most high king, God. I believe that His son Jesus Christ is God made into man, that he died on the cross for the redemption of my soul and the forgiveness of my sins. I believe He rose from the dead – HE LIVES! And I believe He now resides, in his human body, on the right hand of God at His throne in Heaven. He sent the Holy Spirit to live in me (and you!)
I am married to a wonderful man, going on almost 20 years (April 11, 1994). We have six beautiful children together, 2 sons and 4 daughters.
Since I was a tiny child I have had an active imagination. Perhaps it stems from growing up as an only child (my baby sister came along when I was 19), or perhaps this is inherited from my mother, who longed to be a writer. Back then, way back in the 1970′s and the first half of the 1980′s I did not have all the electronic devices children have today. My entertainment came from my own mind, and how I could transform my world into many stories I dreamed up in my mind. It was me and the vast forest that surrounded my childhood home that inspired those first stories.
Since growing up, the dream of being a writer was born, I decided back in 1993 to pursue it. I signed up for the Famous Writer’s School Fiction Writing Courses. I finished the schooling, after I had married and while my first-born baby was beginning to crawl around. As I typed my last lesson, my son was literally crawling under my office chair. For a year, after I wrote short stories and submitted them to untold magazines and publishers. I have enough rejection slips to paper a room. Back then, in 1996, I had a lap top computer, but was not online. The internet was a thing of wonder; I had no idea what doors that could open for me.
I gave up on my writing dream when my second child came along. We finally got a modem and hooked onto dial-up in January 1999. I will skip all the gory details of how I fell in love with web design, and spent over a decade chasing that career around. Jump four more babies and 12 years to 2012, I decided I want to go back to my first love – my writing.
It is true I just want to write. Funny thing, once upon a time this was my desire. I left it for the grand schemes of building websites. I enjoyed designing websites. While I still enjoy that, it has lost its luster that is for sure. I just want to write, did I say that already?
