Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I am a teen author born and raised in sunny South Florida. My characters and their story inspires me to write. I feel like I am the only one who can speak for them.
Tell us about your books.
Currently, I have two books published. Glacier and Glacier: The Other Side are both part of the Glacier Series. The novels follow the life of teen violinist Carly who wants nothing more than to pursue her music. Glacier, a mysterious boarding school offers her the opportunity to do just that. The only catch is that she is forced to become a vampire and leave everything she knows behind.
How did you go about getting published?
I did a lot of research and decided that self publishing was the fastest, cheapest and easy route. Createspace is a dream come true for me. It allows me to publish my books exactly as I wrote them. I think more people will go with self publishing in the future because it so easy and efficient.
What is your writing process? Do you have a time, day or place you like to write?
I usually don’t write outlines. I have the story mapped out in my head and I just write. My main goal is getting words on the page. I don’t worry about grammar or plot holes. Once my first rough draft is finished, I go back and edit. I write whenever I feel inspired. Sometimes I can go days or weeks not writing and sometimes I can write twenty pages a day. It depends on my mood and where I am at the time.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I am a high school student. When I’m not studying or writing, I love spending time with my family and reading lots of books.
