Come and read this is a fast paced fantasy adventure. A nerd becomes an angel and all hell breaks loose.
I have chosen good and evil characters for my story. This is an adult fairy tail … a very unusual romance based on the premise: What if an angel lived amongst us?
Gabriel is blissfully unaware that he is in fact an angel. He has no guile and his childlike approach to his job as a defense lawyer has dire consequences for his clients and his career.
His father breaks the news to him that he is really an ‘Angel’. His Guardian Angel ‘Elvis Presley’ tells him that when he came of age Jane Austen taught him everything he she knew about love. Elvis then dubs him ‘Romeo’ saying he will soon meet his ‘Juliet’ and all the things that happen to ‘Romeo’ will happen to him. His fate is sealed. A ‘comedy of errors’ follows. The next day, Christmas Eve, on losing an argument with Julie, an office cleaner, he makes a promise to them that he will take her and the other cleaner,a heavily pregnant blind girl, who is a devotee of all things ‘Jane Austen, to a big fancy-dress party in town.
At the party Jane, the young blind girl, goes into labor and he ends up on the front page of the local newspaper dressed as an angel and announced as the proud father of his cleaners child … End of Career but the beginning of a whirlwind romance. But all is not well. His nemesis ‘Richie’ ,an avatar of Richard the third of England, murders hundreds of criminal rivals on Christmas day and is in hot pursuit of Gabriel and the girls. Richie catches up … all hell breaks loose. Jane Austen rescues young Jane and her children but It’s the last scene of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ for Gabriel and Julie. Gabriel survives and vows to take vengeance …. that’s the subject of my next book in the ‘Gabriel’ series … Interested so far? … Why not take a look inside?
Hi, thanks for taking the time to look up my book. I write to entertain. I love all kinds of comedy from Circus clowns to the ‘clowns’ we meet in real life. So don’t take me too seriously. I try not to take anything too seriously.
I’ve had to do some seriously boring jobs in my life and in those times I have found it useful to observe people and think up story lines. Many of the characters in this series are not exactly based on real people but a kind of exaggerated, even cartoon in some instances, fictional version of their roles in life. I get by thinking of the funny side of things so comedy has always meant a lot to me.
Ok, so I’ve been accused of being a bit of a ‘Walter Mitty’ but I hope my novels can atone for that. All revenues go to basically helping me and other actors to make a living doing what actors do: plays. This novel is based on a play I wrote a long time ago but changed over the years. A bit like me; changed over the years.
I think I have gypsies blood in me, I think my mother said I did, the last time we parked the trailor, I can’t remember, we moved so many times. So while I’m on the road I’ve almost finished the sequel to this tome and planning a third… so ‘A fra poco’….that’s how Italians say … ‘See you in a bit’!
